"I wish I could say my work had some deep message or insight to convey, but it doesn’t. It’s just simple, direct and to the point ... like me. I’m very grounded about life as well as my artwork. I like to think that my perspective makes for a graphic strength, directness and simplicity in my work. In a painting, I like to create an enjoyable viewing experience within a conversation piece."

     Missouri fine artist, Linda Smith, is a graphic designer with over twenty years of experience. Linda continually finds new levels of creativity and inspiration along her artistic journey by varying her subject matter and mediums. She paints still life, plein air landscapes, figures, portraits, and abstracts. Her favorite subjects (often painted in series), are women. Linda conveys their life stories thru expression and gesture. A favorite medium for Linda is pastel because, for Linda, it is an extension of drawing and she loves to draw.
