Artist Sarah Merideth's chosen medium is textiles: Dying, quilting & embellishing fabric.This includes the more traditional pieced quilts, to more contemporary pieced, layered &  marbled works. This exhibit explores several techniques, including layered and quilted translucent silks, discharged dyes, and free motion quilting. Each piece included in this exhibit began with the dyed fabrics, which then dictated the flow & nature of the pieces. When you visit the show, be sure to look for the marbled fabrics that are included in several of the pieces.
