Favorites: the Art of Linda S. Wilmes
Exhibition Dates: July 25 - Aug 28,  2014
"My desire to paint a given object or scene comes from a solid connection with an experience or memory of a specific time and place. Although having painted a vast amount of subjects, I find time and again, that I come back to some of my favorite things. Some of these have been repeated several times, each time aiming for a new approach or outcome, while still keeping the subject close to my heart. I love sharing in my art, old, rusty and treasures from the past, and I enjoy explaining such to my grandchildren. My passion for painting grows deeper as time goes by, and I look forward with great anticipation to keep growing in my technique and expand the possibilities, with each sunset, each change of season, and every change I see through new developments and life's changes. Come and join me in this great adventure of discovery and pure joy."  ~ Linda Wilmes
