Framations Art Gallery is located at
218 North Main Street in St Charles, Missouri 63301.
As a historic, family oriented district, we reserve the right not to display nudity or offensive subject matter. All artwork submitted to Framations Art Gallery is subject to the gallery owners review. Framations Art Gallery currently shows only regional artists.Submissions are accepted only from St Louis Metro Area Artists. (If you recieve St Louis Television & Radio signals, we consider you metro area).
Only completed submissions will be reviewed. Incomplete submissions will be automatically rejected. Once we have received your application & art submissions via email or postal mail, your application will be reviewed within 7-14 working days. If your artwork is accepted, we will contact you via email &/or telephone. We do not accept submissions in person. All submission information & photos are kept on file with the gallery and will not be returned.
Framations Art Gallery consists of two types of exhibits:
-Resident Artist Exhibits
- One Month Feature Show Exhibits
Resident Artist Gallery Information:
Our Resident Artist Galleries are permanent exhibit spaces & are rented to artists on a contract basis. Spaces range in monthly rent from $20.00 to $100.00 per space & commision of 20% on sold artwork. Resident artists are also entitled to a 15% discount on their purchases from Framations. Once an artist is approved for a resident exhibit space, it is their space as long as they desire to contract the space. There are 27 spaces in the resident artist galleries. At this time all Resident Artist spaces are full & under contract. We do however encourage you to submit & get on the waiting list for these spaces!
Feature Show Gallery Information:
Our One Month Featured Exhibits are temporary show spaces with a duration of roughly one month. To see a list of the current & upcoming shows please see our Gallery Information Page. Feature shows book fast so submit sooner than later, especially if you are wanting a particular month for your show!
The opening Reception is always held from 6-9 pm on the second Saturday of the month. Hang Dates are the Tuesday before the reception. Immediately after hanging, we also record an audio tour of your show. Each Show space is 21' Wide x 12' High & also includes 1 easel in the front window (All Gallery windows are UV tinted). Rental prices are as follows:
Feature Show #1: $150.00 (One exhibiting artist only)
Feature Show #2: $125.00 (One exhibiting artist only)
If you would like to have a group show (Multiple exhibiting artists), your group must rent both spaces for $275.00.
All rental fees from your show are used for promotion & reception costs. Framations will provide the following services during your show:
- Complimentary Audio Tours for the patrons of your show.
- A Wine & Cheese Reception (punch is also served as a non-alcoholic alternative for the guests). You are welcome to bring a vegetarian-only dish if you like, but it is not mandatory.
- 500 show postcards will be printed for the shows, featuring the art in both show spaces. Framations will mail at least 200 of these to our mailing list clients. Each featured artist will receive 50 cards for their personal use & the rest are distributed to area businesses as handouts for their customers. If you need additional postcards, you can purchase them at our cost. We need 4 weeks notice for production time. The artists will need to provide a 300 DPI J-Peg image for the postcards at LEAST 4 weeks prior to the show.
- Email distibution of the show Postcard & information to our private gallery email list. We will also provide you copy of the email to forward to your own private email lists also.
- Press releases sent out to the media about the show.
- Additional advertising for your show can be purchased if desired, but this is optional. We will be happy to discuss additional advertising options with you.
- Your show will be featured on our Framations.com website & links to your website will be included.
- Hammers, Hanging Hardware up to 100lbs, ladders, & tags are all provided for your show during the hanging. We do NOT hang your show for you , so be prepared to hang the show yourself! All artwork must be "take home" ready. This means the customer should be able to hang it as is, so if it needs a frame, make sure it is framed! If it is gallery wrap canvas, the sides should be finished!
