Gateway East Goes West
Exhibition Dates: September 5 - October 16, 2014
     Gateway East Artist Guild (GEAG) is non-profit organization that encourages self-expression through the visual arts and fosters awareness, appreciation, and artistic development through educational programs throughout the Metro-East community. The GEAG members are from a wide variety artistic backgrounds and skill levels. From professional, nationally recognized artists, to those just starting out, the GEAG has something to offer.
     Meetings are open to the public and are a wonderful opportunity to network with others interested in art, enhance your artistic skills, and promote the arts of the Metro- East community. the GEAG meetings are located in downtown Belleville blocks away from the fountain. Exhibition: Gateway East Goes West

Gateway East Artists Guild, Art Sampler :
A series of workshops presented by Gateway East Artists Guild to promote artistic creativity and lots of fun. The five Tuesday workshops consist of various artistic mediums.  Each artist will instruct the participants in use of the medium. Students will create a piece they can take home at the end of the 2 hour session. (More information)
 
Session dates:    October 7, 14, 21, & 28, & Nov. 4, 2014      
Session times: 6 to 8 PM 
Location: PSOP Building, 201 N. Church St., Belleville, Il 
All materials provided.  $25 for all five sessions, must sign up for all.
Age limit – 13 years or older.    Registration deadline – Sept. 2nd.  
 
October 7 Sharon Campese: Make a Mixed Media Decorative gift bag
October 14   Kathy Gomric : Drawing techniques
October 21  Lois Holthaus: Yupo watercolor painting
October 28 Greg Luttrell : Students will be shown tooling and carving techniques
                                               to make a stamped leather frame mat
November 4 Kerry Hof:  Make a copper wire and beaded bracelet
