I am currently 86 years old and continue to paint on most anything! I have been known to carve on the gourds that I have grown, and the painted. I have worked for and painted murals for the Wildlife Rescue Center. My art has been viewed and judged in several states. I raises eight children and worked on my art in my spare time. My interests include: wildlife, conservation, family, and faith. I continue to share these interests through my hands with paint on many forms of canvas using acrylics. ~ Betty Davis

About the Artist:
Betty Davis was a self taught artist until the age of thirty three, when she decided to participate in the art program of her local community college. After two years of art school, she began working with local artist, Frank Love. Betty was greatly inspired after a college trip to Italy in 1997. Shortly after her trip to Italy, she completed a series of works titled, "Rise to Christianity" which were reviewed favorably by the Vatican Art Department.  Betty's artwork has been on exhibition at the NSS Fine Art Salon, Salt Creek Artworks (St Petersburg, FL), Meramec Community College (St Louis, MO), Bass Pro Shop (Springfield, MO) and Art Festivals throughout the United States.
