"My life changed when my son and my husband, an artist, gave me a Nikon camera. I began photographing everything that caught my eye, instinctively finding the center of each composition. Since then, I have exhibited my work at the Soulard Art Gallery, the St. Louis Artists' Guild, and the Blank Canvas Gallery in Hermann, Missouri.
It is always fascinating when my chosen vantage point aligns perfectly with the lighting. I am not the only one who loves the sun—cats love it too. Unpredictable, active, curious, and smart, they often either run away from the camera or pounce on it the moment they hear the shutter click. They are also affectionate, gentle, and friendly. It took me a long time to learn their habits and capture their favorite moments of play and interaction, and the result is the collection you see before you." ~Svetlana Kublanova
